P4 Physical Therapy has an exciting opportunity for a strong Revenue Cycle Specialist to join our dynamic and energetic Revenue Cycle team in Birmingham.

Job Duties:  

  • Responsible for AR follow-up and collection
  • Communicate with patients with billing inquiries
  • Work and manage claims from all aging buckets, including posting, appeals, and resubmissions
  • Appropriate adjustments
  • Responsible for efficiently and accurately posting payments in the practice management system, including checks, EFT payments, online payments, and credit cards
  • Pull EFT back-up (EOBs)
  • Resolve payment research inquiries
  • Reconcile payments posted using system and deposit reports
  • Communicate with proper departments for any issues prohibiting adequate allocation for payments to be posted
  • Responsible for generating quick bill statements for patient outstanding balances
  • Process refunds

Qualifications: 

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Experience in a medical clinic setting, insurance follow-up, and coding and verification
  • Experienced in working with a large volume of electronic medical billing, collections, all aspects of the Revenue Cycle, and insurance coding and verification preferred
  • Previous experience with medical softwarerequired
  • Team player attitude, energetic, and able to multi-task with a focus on excellent customer service
  • Must be a self-starter with strong organizational skills
