Patient Account Representative Responsibilities:
- Work closely with patients to resolve billing and payment issues
- Research and resolve discrepancies on patient accounts
- Process payments and refunds
- Review and update patient insurance information
- Communicate with insurance companies to obtain prior authorizations and verify coverage
- Follow up on unpaid claims and denials
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient account information
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Collaborate with other departments to improve processes and ensure timely reimbursement
- Maintain knowledge of current insurance regulations and coding requirements
Patient Account Representative Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in medical billing and collections
- Knowledge of medical billing and coding, insurance regulations, and healthcare reimbursement policies
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer programs
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

Founded in 1990, U.S. Physical Therapy, Inc. operates over 660 outpatient physical therapy clinics in 41 states. The Company's clinics provide preventative and post-operative care for various orthopedic-related disorders and sports-related injuries, treatment for neurologically related injuries, and rehabilitation of injured workers.
