Jan Grove, DPT, COMT

Clinical Director at Madden and Gilbert PT- Hershey

 

Jan started as a student clinician at Madden and Gilbert PT in Spring 2017. She was then hired as a staff physical therapist in May 2017.  She led a team of PTAs and PT Aides at the Madden and Gilbert Harrisburg location from 2017 until 2021. In 2021, she opened Madden and Gilbert PT in Hershey, becoming the clinical director. After successfully growing the clinic, she became a partner of Madden and Gilbert PT in 2023. In addition to being a clinician, leader and mentor, Jan taught several courses in Lebanon Valley College’s DPT curriculum.  She assisted with courses focusing on orthopedic assessment and manual therapy intervention from 2017 to 2024. She also teaches continuing education courses specializing in manual therapy techniques to clinicians across the country. She loves sharing her knowledge with her staff, helping them reach their full potential in the clinic and in life. In Jan’s spare time, she enjoys spending time outside hiking and gardening with her husband and 2 little boys.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide top-tier manual therapy services to an orthopedic patient population.
  • Diagnose accurately and create tailored treatment plans that evolve with your patients’ progress.
  • Utilize advanced manual therapy techniques, such as lumbar roll, first rib mobilization, Reverse Erhard, grade 5 pelvic mobs, and more.
  • Maintain a caseload of 60-70 visits per week, ensuring consistent reassessment and treatment plan adjustments.
  • Engage in thorough and professional communication with patients, team members, and referring physicians.
  • Participate in patient and community education efforts, enhancing awareness of physical therapy benefits.
  • Stay actively involved in continuing education, including weekly journal club participation.

  • Licensed as a Physical Therapist in PA.
