Position:  Director of Operations – West Region

Experience: Must be a licensed Physical or Occupational Therapist with 5+ years of Healthcare Business Operations and Management Experience. 

 

 

U.S. Physical Therapy, Inc. ("USPh"), which was founded in 1990, is a publicly held company which operates 700+ outpatient physical and/or occupational therapy clinics in 44 states. U.S. Physical Therapy is one of the largest publicly traded, pure-play operators of outpatient physical and occupational therapy clinics. Our clinics provide pre and post-operative care for a variety of orthopedic-related disorders and sports-related injuries, rehabilitation of injured workers, and preventative care. USPh also manages physical therapy facilities for third parties, including physician groups and hospitals. Each of USPh’s clinics are directed by a licensed physical therapist who drive patient volume via local physicians, former patients, and other referral sources. 

 

We are seeking a skilled Director of Operations, who is also a licensed Physical or Occupational Therapist, to support our high growth west region. This role will be based out of the Mountain or Pacific time zone reporting into the corporate office based in Houston, TX. 

 

You’ll assist the Regional President and other members of the operations team support our partner by performing duties in the following areas:

 

Volume Growth and Development
Analyze, implement and train on strategies designated to:

  • Increase clinic visit volume and referral base growth
  • Growth through acquisition and new clinic startups
  • Improve payor mix, net revenue and profit margins

 

People Development
Build trusting relationships with partners, clinic directors and sales and marketing representatives to:

  • Develop partners and clinic directors as leaders in the business
  • Manage and develop regional sales and marketing team to ensure our partners are getting the support they need to be successful
  • Create sales goals and metrics for sales and marketing team
  • Develop strategic plans to address local marketing, scheduling methodology, cancel/no show actions, and other initiatives as needed

 

Operations and Management

Implement and support efficient and effective operational procedures to:

  • Support compliance efforts to reduce audit risk, improve error rates, complete investigations and meet regulatory/company initiative deadlines
  • Support people recruitment, retention and development strategies
  • Provide support to local management regarding performance management, compensation review/merit processes, and other employee related matters as needed
  • Counsel and support local management with monthly, quarterly and annual financial results, budgets and forecasts
  • Provide appropriate support for other initiatives as needed.

 

Who You Are/What You Have:

  • A licensed physical or occupational therapist with 5+ years of Healthcare Business Operations & Management Experience
  • Sales/Marketing experience
  • Ability to build trust and influence key stakeholders
  • Commitment to efficient clinical operations, exceptional patient outcomes and quality of care, and strong financial performance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel within region 50% of time

Other Information

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $ 110,000 - $ 140,000. Salary is based on various factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. The company's incentive compensation plan is subject to change. A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and other benefits also are available.
