What You’ll Do:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team at ARC Physical Therapy +. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to our patients, ensuring their recovery and well-being.

  • Perform comprehensive assessments on patients to formulate personalized treatment plans aligned with their individual needs and goals, operating within the OTA scope of practice.
  • Review physician referrals and thoroughly examine patients' medical records to identify suitable occupational therapy interventions based on their condition, abilities, and treatment aims.
  • Provide direct patient care using evidence-based interventions and established occupational therapy procedures, promoting optimal therapeutic outcomes and patient safety.
  • Accurately and comprehensively document assessment results, treatment progress, and provided instructions for patients and their caregivers, adhering to professional standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Create written care plans and set measurable objectives based on initial evaluation findings, collaborating closely with patients and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure a holistic rehabilitation approach.
  • Execute personalized occupational therapy treatment programs, integrating therapeutic exercises, adaptive tools, and environmental adjustments to improve patients' independence and quality of life.
  • Maintain open communication with patients, caregivers, and team members, including physicians and insurance providers, to coordinate care, address inquiries, and maximize treatment effectiveness.
  • Ensure prompt completion of documentation, including progress notes, treatment summaries, discharge plans, and incident reports, to support continuity of care and facilitate reimbursement for provided services.

What You Have:

  • Graduate degree from CAPTE-accredited Occupational Therapy assistant program. New graduates are encouraged to apply, we’d love for you to start your career with us!
  • Current state of Kansas license and CPR certification
  • Ability to create and implement outpatient balance and vestibular rehabilitation-setting treatment plans or willingness to learn
  • Ability to work efficiently/effectively in an autonomous environment
  • Basic PC skills and knowledge, including but not limited to Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, database software, and MS Office,
