Position: Sports Clinical Specialist Resident
Location: Gardendale, AL – P4 Physical Therapy Clinic

P4 Physical Therapy is currently seeking applications for our accredited Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS) Residency Program based in Gardendale, AL. As a leading provider of comprehensive physical therapy services, we are dedicated to fostering the growth and development of aspiring clinicians in the field.
What is Offered:
- 18-month residency program
- 32 hours per week in clinic
- 150 hours of one-on-one mentoring
- 8 hours each week of didactic work, interdisciplinary care, and/or athletic venue coverage
- In-person modules covering assessment and treatment of the spine, upper quarter, lower quarter, and special topics
- No commitment at the completion of the program and no financial obligation by the resident
- Gain valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic clinical environment
- Work closely with experienced faculty
Program Faculty:
- Roxanne St. Martin PT, DPT, SCS, ATC
- Lauren Buckalew PT, DPT, SCS
- Nadia Jones PT, DPT, SCS
Program Goals:
- Foster and develop the growth of clinicians to remain patient-focused while exhibiting the highest standard of care
- Provide opportunities for participation in acute care and the management of athletic/active populations within local communities
- Enable the clinician to meet all criteria required by the DSP in order to sit for the Sports Physical Therapy Board Exam
Who is Eligible:
- Graduation from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy program
- Licensure eligibility
- Either be an ATC or have completed an ERA course prior to the start of the residency
- Meet employment standards of P4 Physical Therapy
