We take pride in our partnership with Richmond Ballet, meeting the needs of the company dancers, including on-site care for each performance. Our Richmond Physical Therapy clinic is located inside the Richmond Ballet building on Canal Street. Our downtown location serves the heart of Richmond, with availability to meet the needs of those working downtown.

 

We are seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer to join our Richmond, VA, team. You will provide coverage for the Ballet and injury prevention for company dancers. You will assist licensed staff with patient care in our clinic based within the Richmond Ballet and with outreach to an all-female high school. We offer diverse specialized services, including Dry Needling, Non-Operative and postoperative extreme care, Total Joint Rehabilitation, Exercise and Manual-Based Spine Rehabilitation, Custom Foot Orthotics, Sport-Specific Evaluation and treatment, and Slow-Motion Video Analysis. Physical Therapy Solution's substantial patient population further defines its reputation for delivering effective, personalized healthcare solutions. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate injuries and develop treatment and exercise plans within the scope of practice. Re-evaluate treatment plans, as needed, to ensure maximum patient benefit.
  • Implements individualized therapeutic interventions and monitors responses to therapy to ensure client safety. Reports progress and medical changes to referring physician.
  • Educates clients, families, and coaches regarding injuries, risk factor modification, and exercise programs.
  • Conducts injury screening clinics, educational programs, and workshops to promote safety and injury prevention.
  • Documents patient treatment per professional and regulatory standards.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in athletic training or related field from an accredited university athletic training program.
  • NATA-BOC Certified Athletic Trainer.
  • Licensed as an Athletic Trainer in Virginia or license eligible.
  • CPR/ First Aid instructor preferred but not required.
