We Are Seeking:

 

We are seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist with a work history in hand therapy who is proficient in splinting and familiar with post-op protocols. Mentoring is available. This role could easily transistion to a full time position! As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in helping patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life. Functions / Duties of Position:

  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results
  • Comfortable with walk-in patients to provide custom post-op splints
  • Provide occupational therapy interventions to improve patients' functional abilities
  • Monitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
  • Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and strategies

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited college with an AOTA curriculum
  • A current state of Oregon license, CPR certification
  • Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles and techniques
  • Knowledge of post -op protocols
  • Proficient in splinting skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in using relevant technology and software for documentation
  • Excellent patient care and communication skills with the ability to multitask while providing an exceptional experience for anyone that enters the clinic.

 

About us:

Sports Medicine Oregon is a physician owned clinic in Portland, OR. The clinic provides orthopedic surgery and sports medicine for people of all ages and abilities, and the physicians are also the medical team for the Portland Timbers and Thorns soccer clubs. We are a small group in the Physical Therapy Dept and only see patients from our in-house physicians. We are seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist with a work history in hand therapy who is proficient in splinting and familiar with post-op protocols. Mentoring is available.
