Overview

STAR Physical Therapy was established in October 1997. Our company provides comprehensive rehabilitation in a relaxed and friendly environment. STAR Physical Therapy currently has over 60 outpatient clinics throughout Tennessee. We also operate 6 contract outpatient clinics and 3 on-site facilities for major industrial complexes.

 

STAR Physical Therapy is in need of a Network Engineer to support and maintain a midsize LAN/WAN.  This individual will report to the Senior Network Administrator and be responsible for expanding and supporting a low latency, high performance router and switch based infrastructure in the Tennessee area.  The ideal candidate would be detailed oriented, self-sufficient, possess excellent written and oral communication skills, be able to multi-task, and would work well with others.

 

The skills, experience, education, and knowledge required to be considered for this position include the following:

 

Requirements:

Windows

  • Manage backup and backup practices utilizing Symantec Backup Exec and vRanger
  • Administer and maintain all Windows based Servers
  • Administer Exchange 2010 environments
  • User Administration (Active Directory, VPN)
  • Antivirus Administration
  • Administer various Windows servers, including Terminal Servers, database servers and various application servers
  • VMWare ESXi 5.5

Networking

  • In-depth understanding of routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco, Meraki and SonicWALL)
  • Knowledge of various WAN topologies. Including Point-to-Point, and Site-to-Site
  • Experience with network security including remote access, VPN, and firewall security
  • Experience monitoring data networks for performance, response time, and throughput
  • Ability to assess bandwidth requirements to support numerous offsite locations
  • Ability to read and maintain network topology diagrams
  • Strong documentation skills required for evaluation and test plans, as well as, operational procedures
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Service oriented mindset with strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work and mentor Help Desk

Experience:

At least three to five years of relevant experience in Network and Systems Administration is a must. 

 

Certifications:

Cisco Networking Certification is a plus.        

Microsoft systems administration certification, MCSE, is a plus

 

Education:

A strong academic background with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
